I walked 2.5 miles around San Francisco today. Sure, it’s a mundane and completely unimpressive statistic to share considering the fact that I have friends training for their second marathon right now, but also considering the no-exercise I receive on a daily basis, yeah, I’m going to go ahead and pat myself on the back. Just a small pat though, don’t worry, I’m not a total narcissist.

On the walk back from the Castro, I passed through Alamo Square. Alamo Square and the infamous Painted Ladies are only a block away from my apartment, and there has not been a single occasion where I have walked through the park and not encountered at least a dozen tourists taking pictures on the hill directly across from the Painted Ladies. It’s cute and serves as just another reminder of how fortunate I am to live in such a beautiful city, where at any given time the population probably consists of 30% tourists, thinking that taking pictures in front of painted houses constitutes as a vacation.

Oh, and have I mentioned that there are frequently walking tours through my neighborhood? I love San Francisco.

And now I’m going to watch Annie Hall. Sunday Funday ftw.
