Taste, Hayes Valley, San Francisco

Today was the first day in the last week that I didn’t feel like a fragile, little creature with lungs teetering on the edge of being coughed up. So naturally, I decided to take off my sweatpants (finally!), put on some makeup and do something with my life that didn’t involve sucking on cough drops and feeling sorry for myself.

I met up with Marice at Taste, this really adorable tea shop a few blocks from my apartment. At Taste the tea is served using the Gongfu technique, which if you’re unfamiliar, is basically the most peaceful fucking way to drink tea ever.

I highly recommend checking Taste out if you’re in Hayes Valley. It’s just this perfect little oasis where you can take off your shoes, nibble on homemade macarons and read. Oh, and did I mention they have free wi-fi? Always a selling point.
